Meeting Andrea Trofimuk, Sinclair’s North America Chief Executive Officer, it’s obvious that she genuinely cares about her team and the company. As Chief Executive Officer of a major aesthetics company, it’s no surprise Andrea is glowing. But her radiance seemed to come from more than just great technology. As soon as she explained her own Cinderella story, it all made sense. She glows because she is genuinely passionate about her team and the value they bring.
“For me, it’s all about integrity, respect, and transparency. I came into this as a Cinderella story. I’m going on 14 years within this company, and ultimately, that transparency is what inspired me. I find that the reason I thrive in this environment is because I feel valued, I feel heard, and I feel I can make an actual impact. My impact isn’t based off just topline revenue. It’s really in how people feel about themselves and how they feel about their day-to-day.”

Listening to who matters most
When Andrea reflects on Sinclair’s journey, one word comes to mind: transformation. By listening to employee feedback and taking meaningful action, the company has built a workforce culture that values transparency, respect, and empowerment – qualities that keep employees engaged and inspired long-term.
Sinclair North America already had an internal survey in place, but according to Andrea, that wasn’t enough. She wanted more transparency, credibility and accountability. “It was to test if my pulse on the culture was sound. Because it was an anonymous survey, it was a way for us to gauge where we stood and get a baseline,” she commented. “ The results allowed us to identify areas for improvement and investment, whether in benefits programs, process adjustments, or other initiatives, it enabled us to maintain a comprehensive understanding and stay attuned to our organization’s needs.”
Turning Insights into action
“The most critical constructive feedback we received was likely about our benefits,” Andrea shared. “Employee insights highlighted gaps in our plans, shedding light on an issue that might have otherwise gone unnoticed. ‘It underscored the need to invest in delivering stronger, more comprehensive benefits.’”
After identifying that bottleneck, Sinclair North America rolled out adjustments to their maternity, vacation, and sick leave policies. It’s too soon to tell the impact, but next year’s survey data will help Andrea confirm what’s working, and what isn’t.
“It was an interesting insight for us, given that we’re part of a National plan, and benefits can vary significantly from state to state. In some areas, employees felt the benefits were strong, but without broader input, we might not have heard from those facing challenges. The anonymous feedback process allowed those concerns to surface, giving us a clearer view of the situation.”

With Andrea’s help, the Sinclair North America Leadership Team continues to ask questions like, ‘How can we empower more people to feel that their work and time are truly valued?’ and ‘How can we ensure that the sacrifices they make translate into meaningful benefits for their future and their lives?’ The Workplace Survey provides a vital pulse check, helping me assess whether we’re delivering on those commitments. Establishing that baseline is essential to ensure we stay aligned and on track.”
A personal connection and legacy
Andrea explained that her own growth to Chief Executive Officer was possible because of Sinclair’s commitment to transparency and respect. While internal surveys are great, they don’t provide anonymity or benchmarking. Now, with Workplace Survey Insights, Andrea has the resources needed to continue her legacy of accountability, credibility, and progress.
“Continuous surveying is crucial for us, and we’ve now conducted it two years in a row. It’s fascinating to observe how the data evolves over time. Ultimately, this process provides a strong foundation to build upon, with the baseline information serving as a critical benchmark for our progress.”
